Published by Virgin, London, 1996

1st edition hardback in fine, as new condition. The book has no previous owner names or inscriptions. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped and still retains the original £9.99 net price. The legend of Black Beauty has spawned (if a horse can be said to spawn; it's more of a frog thing, really) a great many horsey tales on film, tv and in print, but even Anna Sewell's original classic adventure failed to tell it like it really is. Here straight from the Horses mouth, is Black Beauty According to Spike Milligan, revealing what it is really like to be a young foal...

Published by Virgin, London, 1997

1st edition hardback in very good condition. The book has no previous owner names or inscriptions. The dust wrapper has not been price clipped and still retains the original £9.99 net price. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was a deeply troubled man, haunted by his conscience over the creature he had created. Spike Milligan's Frankenstein is equally haunted, haunted by the image of his poorly stitched together creation in his poorly stitched together trousers (will they never stay up?) roaming the countryside with it hanging out, terrifying the populace, scrounging fags and desperate for a shag.

1615. Milligan, Spike: The Hound of the Baskervilles: According to Spike Milligan

Special 80th birthday edition. Hardback with padded faux leather covered boards. Gilt titles and decoration to spine and upper board. No dust wrapper as issued. There are no previous owner names or inscriptions. Pages very slightly darkened otherwise fine. Spike Milligan has written many adaptations of the classics, but none with quite so much pleasure and gusto as the quintessential story of the Baker Street detective. If you're a fan of Sherlock Holmes, prepare to be shocked: your detective hero, the ferocious dog on the moor, and the redoubtable Dr Watson, will never be the same again. The jokes run thick and fast and you'll never see of the violin-playing detective in quite the same light.
