The dust wrapper is a little rubbed at the edges with a couple of chips lost at the front bottom edge which someone has attempted to repair with tape. There are no previous owner names. Pictorial boards and endpapers, beautifully illustrated by Georgina Hargreaves in colour on nearly every page. One of Enid's most popular books, this larger, deluxe illustrated edition is quite scarce. The adventures really begin on the day Mollie and Peter go out to buy a present for their mother's birthday. They spot a pretty vase in the window of an antique shop but when they go in to buy it all sorts of strange things start to happen.
